Lomandra plants have been spectacular this year. We do our best to disperse thousands of seeds trying to sabotage lantana choking the creek banks.
Pathetic I know, but I sent up some cheers for this talking tree - forgotten his name again - but thriving surrounded by camphor laurel it has at least 20 children growing to replace it when it no longer can look so spectacular. Having replacements on the way to replace it when it has done its job is vital.
Acres of lantana ... but as Winston Churchill told the sceptics who said they could never clear all the weeds and rubbish in his local park, "Never, Never, Never, Never give up."I would be seed balling plants that should be growing there and have dozens of kids flinging it where they can't reach to release native plants. I salute the heroes carve tracks into the lantana to nurture new plants and who don't ever give up.
