Pedestrian and bike path bridges

Brisbane City Council claims credit for inventing fibre composite technology for bridge building.
I have never been able to get them to explain what it means.
I suspected it meant using recycled materials to build strong infrastructure cost effectively.
If a strategy was in place for construction of pedestrian and bike bridges it would be a wonderful benefit to the community with more options to cross creeks and waterways safely.
Bulimba Creek has several historic crossings where a visionary person arranged concrete post as crossings in strategic places.
They don't stop the flow of the creek, occasionally would have a build up of debris which slows down the flow of water in flood times. Those who use the creek catchment for recreation would have improved access without environmental impact of making their own crossings.
A crossing on Wecker Road could help keep hundreds of children off a chaotic road and benefit from more exercise while walking a few hundred metres to school.
Crossings in the Blackberry Street where there are already pipe crossings would disperse the traffic and give more options for the hundreds of park users enjoying their local area.
If the bridges were constructed to provide safe access during times of higher water levels it would be a great benefit to the environment and members of the community.
