Aldi, Woolworths and Chesterton struggle to maintain their properties to an acceptable standard. There are six shopping districts at Cannon Hill.
Pet City/Bike Shop/AMart/Overflow - keep their parking area tidy, the roadway behind the back door is a mess - cardboard, packaging, plastic, furniture.
Coles and KMart complex makes an effort to keep their outdoor areas tidy
Save City - an old and creepy place - but not impacting on the bush or public
Cannon Central - disgusting - Woolworths loading zone is allowed to look like a junk yard, broken pallets get left lying around, bottles, plastic bags, Hungry Jacks junk.
Bunnings complex - disgusting footpath and driveway passing the proposed Aldi site
Proposed Aldi site - In line with an apparent low commitment by Aldi to keep lifts and outside of their centres clean, the proposed site is always in a disgraceful condition.
Some members of the public think Aldi wants it to look like a dumping ground so they make their contributions despite threats of video surveillance.
Publicity as part of Clean Up Australia will encourage members of the public who
think the area should look tidy to come forward and lend a hand.
With the combined power of so many significant business places in the area they have resources to keep their grounds tidy and have a zero tolerance of rubbish.

Leaving it as a rubbish dump impacts on bushland that deserves to be rehabilitated and free of litter. Cleaning contractors should not be blowing the rubbish from car parks towards the bush. Pick it up, don't blow it out the back.
Solving the problem immediately is the best outcome, otherwise, 3 March can be "Clean Up Cannon Hill Day."
