7 kilometres of Brisbane’s bikeways will have solar-powered cats-eyes and lighting by the end of 2009. 45 solar lights are being installed along the South East Freeway Bikeway. Each solar panel generates 12 volts of energy, 128 watts of light from dawn to dusk over 12 hours.
