I was a fan of the Angry Anderson programs which turned around the circumstances of many worthy groups. While the strategies used were mocked, I thought it motivated a positive determination to help people with skills work together for a positive outcome. It may not have been a typical Backyard Blitz, but I enjoyed the conclusion of tonights episode. Bianca and her family were well and truly blitzed. A fantastic use of television to tell a story that may motivate people to do what they can to help others. Our children were moved by the original story on 60 Minutes and were cheering for Bianca.
Bianca and her family get blitzed
The Domestic Blitz team on Nine pulled off a huge challenge, to bring joy and hope for a family who endured tough times.
16-year-old Bianca was featured on Sixty Minutes telling her story of living with Tourette's syndrome. Radical brain surgery offered the hope of living a more normal life.
The surgery was a success and freed Bianca from the frequency and fury of uncontrollable tics which made her punch, kick, swear and go into convulsions.
Her family home resembled a bomb site. Holes had been punched through almost every wall and door, bathrooms had smashed tiles and mirrors.
