Adjournment ... A free kick

An adjournment is a short debate introduced by a backbencher at the end of each day's business in Parliament.

"The technical procedure of debating a motion that the House should adjourn gives backbench members opportunity to discuss issues of concern to them, and have a minister respond to points they raise. ...Backbenchers normally use the opportunity to debate issues related to their constituency. ... An all-day adjournment debate is held the final day before each recess. ... MPs do not give advance notice of the subjects which they intend to raise. ... From a BBC News Item

I admire those who come up with clever blog titles, those that find a latin name to sum up what they are trying to achieve. My attempt at blogging is like an Adjournment debate, recognising the good things in my community and advocating ideas for consideration and rejection.
