We enjoyed a visit to the Wynnum Wading Pool following its major facelift.
While it was sad to see the contractor go bust and more than their share of setbacks along the way the final outcome is excellent.
The Council team responsible for planning foreshore projects has delivered infrastructure that is an spectacular and functional asset for the whole community.
The combination of wading pool, jetty, clean sandy beach, whale water park, large playground makes for a fun family place. Warning signs are prominent to remind parents it is not a pool and there are no lifeguards. Fencing and non-slip surfaces are more than adequate and well planned. The small waterslide provides good fun. Kids on skateboards were having fun launching themselves into the water down the ramps, always great to see big kids laughing having harmless fun. And CLEAN BINS - awesome - what a pleasure to see respect for users with clean facilities.
