Parking Nightmare at Westfield Carindale

Unless you have more than 30 minutes to waste trying to find a car park, you may want to consider an alternative to punishing yourself visiting Westfield Carindale shopping centre.
Personally, it is one of the worst penalties you could inflict on me requiring me to go to a major shopping centre but family members enjoy it from time to time.
Westfield plans another 100 shops, to demolish a Town Square and public library and Council can't do anything but support.
Their car parks are not designed to reduce stress but options must be available ... one way only through parks, holding bays to wait for spaces to become available ... strategies that would make shopping more tolerable.
Going anywhere near Garden City Shopping Centre, particularly on weekends is an severe exercise in character building. Council is supporting even more development in that overcrowded precinct.
Shopping at Chris's IGA on Old Cleveland Road is a good option - competitive prices, usually without the hassles of parking. IGA at Mt Gravatt is often deserted at night so is a stress-less option when I do the shopping.
