Scheduled to take 2 weeks the project took up to 8 weeks.
Advice that it would be mid December before the blocked lane and footpath could be safely used again was not welcome. Council advised their monitoring suggested there was no congestion.
Howerver a contractor appears to have done a great job building the new footpath.
Lush green lawn has been laid and it will be a treat when families return to school to have an attractive footpath.
I hope that a series of colourful native trees can be planted above the wall to celebrate the history of the area with grevillea.
Because not many survived the drought on the site when council did a survey they only planned to replace the four grevillea survivors they removed in construction.
The area deserves dozens of colourful native trees as the site can be seen from so many vantage points.
My appreciation to Cr Krista Adams for following through to express her speed up a resolution
