Electricity prices have skyrocketed. Revisit the promises of those who inflicted de-regulation on the community. We were convinced by a talented door to door sales lady to swap to Queensland Electricity (clever marketing name, but not associated with the government).
It has been scary comparing bills over the last two years.
De-regulation and introduction of 20 + players to sell electricity to consumers was a con. Money spent on marketing and stunts to find customers could have paid for a series of wind farms.
The Courier Mail 22/9/08 had a helpful feature on cutting costs with advice to "tear your bill to shreds." If only it was so easy!!
Family friends run their vehicles, home, small furniture factory using filtered fish shop oil. Amazing.
Our electricity bill is climbing despite extra vigilance to turn off lights and powerpoints short showers.
I don't want to pay for gimmicks and reams of paper QE inflicts on customers, I just want cheaper energy. Has anyone ever benefitted from those so called reward schemes?
An exercise bike powering battery running games, computer and television sounds like a good option.
