We enjoyed an afternoon at Splash Water Park, Chermside on Saturday. Nathaniel's Tae Kwan Do group had their end of year celebration and freeloaders were welcome. The children have enjoyed school events at Splash, but it is the first time I have used the facilities. It is an excellent service, and at a group entrance price, seems great value for money. The tube ride is the most exciting with the challenge of crossing the lilly pads a close second.
I admire provision of excellent facilities for families to enjoy.
The Park appears to have a battle maintaining vegetation. Maybe council resources are too stretched repairing damage at The Gap. Any council owned facility should be a showcase of good management, introducing residents to the right plants in the right location. Trees that are growing so well end up blocking the view of the excellent and pro-active lifeguards they provide. Singapore Daisy is rampant and there is significant space for more planting.
