Appreciate a Teacher Day ...


Happy Teacher Appreciation Day ...

Danica went into action to appreciate her teachers. They will enjoy a sugar hit to get them through frantic Friday. A bowl of treats for the staff room, beautiful notes and "must have chocolate" packs for her teachers.
Good on you Danica, another amazing project showing your creativity and initiative.

A favourite cartoon featured two former students looking at a sign "If you can read this thank a teacher," and them wondering what is says, saying, "I think it says its Chalkey Chumley's car."

We were spoilt by parents at Bulimba with a delicious morning tea, beautiful decorated cakes. I suspect teachers have made enough mistakes to keep them forever humble … In my first year teaching I had to be rescued by a teaching partner after raving on how ‘kids’ should get it right … S – I – S – S - O- R – S with a thump on the board for emphasis. The rest of the years the children would ask me for a pair of “SK” … SK … Scissors …” to make sure I never forget having to ask them to forgive the spelling rave ...
