We used Tree Dressing Day as an opportunity to remember how important it is to plant and look after the trees in our community. We added colourful items, tinsel, hats, ties, scarves, messages to appreciate the benefit of having so many trees to enjoy. Hundreds of children have helped plant and nurture trees to make their school grounds green and healthy.
Our efforts won't be as elaborate as this amazing effort to make a tree colourful but we will be adding clay faces to the colourful wind mobiles hanging as a canvas between our trees. More than 120 trees have been added to the landscape in our grounds. Hundreds of hours of effort during the year by the children have made a real difference to protect and improve the landscape. The best decorations we have found this year are the beautiful bark, leaves, flowers and wildlife that feels so at home in our bushland areas.
