Charities received an early Christmas present this week when the High Court ruled that the business activities of a charitable organisation are exempt from taxation. Click here to read the article in The Age.
In the important test case, the Commissioner of Taxation failed in its bid to tax the profits of a funeral service used to fund the activities of Wycliffe Bible Translation, a missionary organisation.
