Hardhats feature in below George St display

Latest item headed for the Campaign props store, a plastic ABC hardhat, "The Redster"

A little known tunnel linking City Hall, Parliament House and the Executive Building is lined with with shelves of election props easily available for media opportunities. The most prominent item is the hardhat. A range of hardhats to suit every colour outfit and head size, safety glasses, drinking glasses for demonstrating confidence in fluoridated treated sewage are items most in demand.
I thought Cap'n was setting the bar high for her team, turning up with an ABC Redster to help announce proposed construction of home for the ABC at Southbank in 2011. She was just being a good sport, wearing if for a News Ltd photographer. It had been taken as a joke by ABC Breakfast Spencer Howson, ready to start digging the foundations on the spot.
Props of preference by previous premiers will feature in a GOMA Display starting on Queensland Day ... model cranes and demolition equipment, koalas, Posters celebrating proposed projects which seemed a good idea at the time.
