A Federal Government stunt to establish a grocery price watch scheme is a dud and Independent Senator Nick Xenophon wants the site updated weekly so it provides meaningful information.
Changes under consideration include a new law to force shopping centres to have wireless laptops in all trolleys so consumers can compare prices.
A printout of comparitive information will allow consumers to negotiate with checkout operators about the final total of their bill. Government sponsored Petrol Price Watch, Grocery Price Watch, Nose Wiping services continue to thrive. The most relieved MP's when these stunts are rejected by the Senate are Labor's backbenchers who valliantly try to argue in the party room against ridiculous waste of tax payers funds.
