Time for a fair go for users of Wecker Road at Mansfield after disrupting a lane for the last six weeks giving motorists the pleasure of waiting at traffic lights for up to six changes.Construction of a stone wall could have been done in small sections and the road opened up when work was not being carried out. With the wall nearly finished, council has now decided to dig under the wall to lay a new water pipe. I would have thought it was more appropriate to lay the pipe before building the new structure replacing a brick wall which featured colourful paintings by local children.
