ABC Breakfast - Should Recycled Water be added if there is a wet season?
Follow the link to an audio interview with Water Commission Boss, John Bradley, defending the quality of clean treated sewage which will be added to water supplies in 2009. Mrs Nosworthy has disappeared from the radar. Establishing another beauracracy to double up on the work of an existing department was a stunt to take heat off the government. QWC's claim to fame is giving out a shower timer.
Did anyone get a shower timer that actually worked in a bathroom?
Millions of dollars spent on the QWC doubling up a capable government agency but they could not tell you how much soil and rubbish was removed from Queensland dams while we were in drought.
State issued environmentally friendly bulbs for good citizens
Thousands of bulbs will go into landfill as environmentally friendly lights are given away with the Sunday Mail this week.
The government takes its responsibility seriously to be issuing shower timers and light bulbs. Bread and circuses!
The light bulb stunt is fantastic timing to help demonstrate how "Green" the State Government is after Ronan Lee defected to another mob. The bulbs will glow green if contaminants in your recycled water reach an unacceptable level or if a candidate for the forthcoming State election comes within 50 metres of your front door.
Where is the former QWC Commission boss?
Phew, it is a relief that running major companies is not a distraction for prominent leaders ...
