I've found a good fuel outlet on Wynnum Road at Morningside when I need to use a Woolworths discount voucher. Each time I have been there two operators are friendly and keep things moving so traffic does not back up on busy roads.
An earlier comment ...
I hope Woolworths can take up the challenge to reduce the stress at their fuel outlets. When fuel is in the farcical cheap cycle their Carindale outlet has cars waiting out on busy Creek Road trying to get a place in the line.
They should have two operators working when they are playing the cheaper price game and preferably, an operator out on the tarmac, organising and helping people get through as quickly as possible. Many people would waste their 4 cents a litre savings with the engine running waiting to get to a pump. There are ways to reduce stress :
Let someone get in ahead of you to be served first, offer your spare vouchers to young people filling up, when standing in line, offer to give a discount to the people behind you with your loyalty card.
An act of kindness helps reduce the stress of high fuel prices and waiting in traffic.
Woolworths should configure their stations to ensure faster turnover of available pumps, car parks for people to use while paying, running the discount fuel for longer periods. If they stopped playing the cheap fuel cycle game it would be a good solution to petrol station rage.
