Up to five young juveniles will be removed from their offending environment to focus on rehabilitation at a Cairns bootcamp. They will attend classes, complete community reparation and physical activities.
A residential phase includes one month with 24 hour supervision by mentors. Involvement in domestic duties, meal preparation, laundry, cleaning will build lifeskills and steer kids from a life of crime. North Queensland based Magistrates will refer suitable candidates for participation. Violent and sexual offenders will not be selected.
