Nine Network celebrates another exclusive

The Traffic Camera Office hands out speed camera exclusives to media outlets.
It keeps them onside to be given top secret information.
Nine TV news is having another turn with "exclusive" access to speed camera locations.
The information should not be secret.
Local traffic committees consisting of council, RACQ, Transport and Police have the task of setting speed limits and identifying places for secret and overt cameras.
The TCO regularly gloats about revenue raised from cameras
Committee deliberations remain top secret.
Traffic camera revenue is supposed to be spent on Road Safety but it remains classified.
It should be funding defensive and remedial driving lessons for identified drivers.
Alleged trouble spots continuing to generate revenue should be a signal that efforts to change behaviour are not working.
Why is the better, clearer, signage, on-road speed markings and visible Police presence not working?
The Courier Mail loves its exclusives ... reporters have a chance to make their name.
The TCO trots out a report they paid for many years ago from a Melbourne University claiming speed cameras are saving lives but it can't be challenged.
Seven news has its exclusives. Ten journos just have to be patient for their time in the spotlight with a speed camera exclusive.
34 deaths on Queensland Roads in as many days demonstrates 'more secret cameras' is not working to change behaviour.
Waiting 40 days to advise the driver they have covertly identified as exceeding an arbitrary and poorly planned speed limit is not good enough.
The causes identified for the outrageous road toll are not being detailed openly.
Many incidents occur between midnight and 2 am.
Where are the secret camera operations at that time
Covert operations are conducted by officers working lucrative overtime shifts.
Hopefully the motivation of cash to hide in a vehicle does not overcome qualms about sitting at dangerous locations or the frustration of recognising a visible presence would deal immediately and more effectively with breaches of the fatal five plastered over their clutter cars.
