Brisbane City Council had a plan drawn up proposing a remedy for third world conditions on Tones Road, near a housing commission area and sporting fields at Mansfield. Sufficient funds were not allocated in the budget but small sections will be rehabilitated.
Nearby, the council is constructing new crossings over Bulimba Creek and more bike paths which will be appreciated by the community. The landscaping that has been completed should be a dramatic improvement to the well being of Bulimba Creek.
